There are two possibilities for this item

a) The bell is from a production of the play "The Garden of Allah" that happened to run, someplace, over New Year's Eve 1925, or

b) Alla Nazimova had a New Year's Eve party at her home, the year before she had the property sub-divided to become the famous "Garden of Allah".

If anyone has a "c" alternative, do let me know.
